Our Reverse T3 Test page briefly describes why and when this Test is a good option for us.
This test involves an intravenous infusion of a small amount of semi-synthetic chelation amino acids mix. These acids grab onto (“chelate”) toxic metals so tightly, that our body can’t hang onto them, and they are excreted into the bowels and urine.
Within 6 hours after the infusion our urine specimen needs to be collected and sent to the lab. This is the most accurate known way to test for toxic metals in our body.
If the results show significant amounts of toxic metals the best way to remove them from the body is by using a EDTA Chelation Therapy. Dozens of studies demonstrated its effectiveness in clearing our arteries and treating atherosclerosis as well as other cardiovascular diseases.
The EDTA Chelation Therapy involves the same amino-acids solution as the described here test. This test was accepted in the past but mostly forgotten by the mainstream medicine by now.
When do we need to be tested?
If the Reverse T3 test shows elevated results, toxic metals are almost always the cause, but to be absolutely sure we should always use this Test.
Many mainstream physicians are not well familiar with the test and some will not be willing to perform it even by your request.
What if results of the test are showing you need a treatment?
The described here Test procedure is relatively simple and requires your attention for only one day. On the other hand the EDTA Chelation Therapy requires 30-40 visits to a knowledgeable doctor's office and it is pretty expensive.
After extensive research we found an alternative option for the Chelation Treatments, which we can perform ourselves, at the convenience of our own home. You can review this option described on a page behind the above link.
If this Test shows a toxic metals accumulation in our body, we should seriously consider taking a course of the EDTA Chelation Therapy or Chelation Treatments, which works practically every time, not only for bringing Reverse T3 levels back to normal, but also to significantly improve the symptoms of hypothyroidism and/or even eliminating them entirely.
