A large number of high blood pressure cases are considered a mystery and are labeled “essential hypertension” by mainstream and even some holistic doctors.
During the past 50 years or so our medical science made great advancements in surgical techniques and high-tech diagnostics. Unfortunately that is where advancements end. It didn’t progress much in the area of understanding and treating underlying causes of diseases using natural therapies gifted to us by Mother Nature.
High blood pressure symptoms are among the most obvious examples. It was accepted by our medical science that there were only a few instances when a cause for high blood pressure symptoms could be found. All remaining situations received this “Essential Hypertension” name. A name “Primary Hypertension” is also used in some literature.
In case of hypertension we are prescribed one of more medications, which at least usually do reduce blood pressure, but not correcting the underlying problem that caused the high blood pressure in the first place. This is not to mention that nearly all of them have multiple unwanted side effects.
According to holistic medicine in most cases of “essential hypertension”, there are actually between one and three causes that are fairly easy to determine.
Insulin Resistance - the first step of addressing “mystery cases”
When many of us hear the words “insulin resistance”, we think of type 2 diabetes. But most of us do not know that a less known, but very common consequence of it is the high blood pressure. We already discussed this subject and how to deal with it on our hypertension symptoms page.
Heavy metal toxicity - another mystery cause of essential hypertension
Heavy metal toxicity is another often overlooked cause of essential hypertension. Our industry provides us with many exciting life conveniences, but unfortunately it pollutes our food, water and air many different ways. The question isn’t whether or not we have these toxic metals in our body. The question is how much.
Unfortunately most mainstream doctors are not familiar with the Chelation test - the best way to test our heavy metal toxicity. You can follow this link to learn more about it.
A blood test is virtually useless for this purpose, because the toxins which our body wouldn’t be able to excrete through liver or kidneys land in our bones and tissue, so wouldn’t be found in the bloodstream. Before and while being stored within our body these toxins continue the damage to our organs. After being released from storage, they can do even further damage.
Doctors often offer us a hair test. If it comes back negative, it doesn’t mean we are free from heavy metal toxins. Again - the intravenous chelation test is the only one showing the real picture.
Our chances of eliminating or at the very least reducing our essential hypertension are very good if we tested positive for insulin resistance, heavy metal toxicity, or both, and were found having less than “tropical” blood levels of vitamin D3.
More on Vitamin D3 and hypertension connection can be found on our hypertension symptoms page.
We need to be patient and persistent
But we need to be patient — blood pressure reduction hardly ever happens overnight, and it could take a few months before we see any significant results. While waiting, we should pay attention to our diet - you should visit our foods that lower blood pressure page by fllowing the above link.
If your doctor is rushing into writing you prescriptions with their possible side effects, and without a clear explanation of the reasons leading to your hypertension symptoms, you should ask to have a CMV infectiontest done before accepting this medication.
You can read about this possible infection by following this link.
